Diabetic Neuropathic Foot and its Consequences is the 2nd edition of the international advanced course that aims to combine education, training and specialization of health care specialists on diagnostics and treatment of diabetic foot neuropathy.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a debilitating condition affecting as many as one-half of all patients with diabetes during the course of their disease (1). The progressive, irreversible course of the disease ultimately leads to an increased incidence of ulceration and limb amputations (2).

The European Association For The Study Of Diabetes - NEURODIAB, the Asociación Latinoamericana De La Diabetes – ALAD, the Instituto Nacional De Diabetes Y Endocriniología – INDEN and NEURODIAB - Society for Diabetic Neuropathy invites you to the 2nd edition of the international course on Diabetic Neuropathic Foot and its Consequences, which will take place online on the 27th - 28th of April, 2023, Between the hours 17:00-20:00 (Central European Time)
During the event, the participants will have the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences and good practices with internationally renowned experts in diabetes and diabetic neuropathy.
The participants will have the opportunity to ask questions in real time. All the participants are encouraged to be active. The event follows a high-quality scientific program. It includes scientific sessions followed by Q&A sessions, as well as case presentations dedicated to various diabetic pathologies.

This course is open for everyone involved in the treatment of diabetic foot, with a special focus on healthcare specialists like: Resident and young doctors, specializing in diabetes, neurology, general surgery, vascular surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, endocrinology, cardiology and family medicine and other healthcare professionals like nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists, as members of the multidisciplinary team.

The number of participants is limited to 150.

The purpose of the advanced course is to educate, train and specialize exclusively physicians and podiatrists on diabetic foot neuropathy, diagnosis and treatment.

In an era, where personalized treatment is requested, reliable and contrasted technologies for early quantified diagnoses, as well as prescribing the right treatment, such a course is essential for healthcare professionals. Physicians and Podiatrists need to be empowered on their daily activity with a quick and reliable diagnoses as well as to prescribe the correct treatment for the specific diabetic foot neuropathy.

As the 4th Revolution we are living on, technology has its place to support the diagnoses patient’s tendency through its data collection and the specific treatments for the diabetic foot neuropathy of our patients.

The diagnostic precision of diabetic neuropathy leads / leads to a correct decision of the treatment, thus being able to reduce the injuries and the number of amputations, the most important being the improvement of the quality of life of patients with diabetes.
